What is Feldenkrais?
Quote that explains what Feldenkrais is
The Feldenkrais Method — learning to move with ease
Imagine feeling at ease and in the Flow - regardless of the activity — singing, walking, playing, jogging, dancing. Getting the whole body to participate in an optimal way is key in ALL activities.
Movement is everything you do—your body moves as long as it is breathing, seeing, hearing, sensing, feeling, thinking! Your entire embodied existence is constant movement— visible or invisible to an observers eye. How you move — is an expression of our embodied experiences.
The Feldenkrais Method was developed by Moshe Feldenkrais to improve movement abilities through experiencing and becoming aware of your body's movements.
Awareness through Movement lessons offer instructions for moving (often in novel and unfamiliar ways) and guides students to explore and notice how they execute these movements.
These lessons not only evoke changes in movement ability, but also increase your ability to sense and your ability to notice differences —developing your skill of awareness! In these lessons you learn how you do what you are already doing and how you can do things differently! You will discover you have choices! It is the first step in changing and discovering better options for moving and therefore your whole self.
